This year, the Garrettsville Summerfest Committee is proud to announce that the festival will feature two headlining acts. On Friday night, Mr. Speed (KISS tribute band) qill take the stage at 9 PM and rock the night away. Mr. Speed promises all KISS fans that they will not be disappointed. The band has 16 years of experience delivering exactly what KISS fans expect, a fantastic show with all of their favorite songs. One can expect to see costumes from the late 70's era along with lights and everything else you remember.
Taking to the stage on Saturday is Thunderstruck (AC/DC tribute band) featuring all of your favorite sonfs. The band accurately reproduces the sights and sounds of one of the greatest rock bands, AC/DC. Thunderstruck takes to the Main Stage at 8:45 PM.
Ok so maybe you like your music less intense more on the mellow side well there is plenty more being offered at SummerFest. Melanie May, a local country singer and writer will perform Saturday night as well. She has previously performed in Garrettsville Idol and at the Great Geauga County Fair. Not into country how about Benatar? Bringing Benatar a local Pat Benatar tribute band will take one of the three stages Saturday as well. The younger sector of the population will not want to miss, Noise from the Basement, a regional kid’s band that has been making some noise in the music field in the Akron-Cleveland area. There will be classic rock music offered from 45 RPM and the Boys are Back, some jazz from the Garrettones, gospel music will be the flavor early Sunday afternoon and the blues from The Extremes will be on tap late Sunday afternoon. If that isn’t enough for you, hang around Sunday night and watch Big Chuck and Lil’ John emcee Garrettsville Idol. The singing contest features 24 talented singers competing to become the next Garrettsville Idol.
